With any courier delivery service, the service being provided is, of course, the courier delivery! This not only involves dispatching drivers to go out and make the deliveries, but also the intake of orders in the first place! Fielding phone calls and emails and manually inputting in order information is extremely time consuming and prone to errors, neither of which are things you want while you run your business. Customer Website Setup

On this website, you can set the name of the company, you can upload a logo, you can change the website domain, and you can add any notes or reminders you want all your customers to see, such as hours of operation or maximum delivery distances, for example. Once you have the site set up with your company’s customized information, you can have customers set up their account, right through the website! By clicking on the account setup button, your customers can fill out their contact information, address, and create their unique password. This way, their data is automatically set up within your system, and now they have access to the customer portal to start placing orders!

Order Placement

Now that your customers have their number and password, and can access their customer portal at any time, it’s time for them to start placing orders! Their order entry tab looks nearly identical to the one on your end within the online courier software, so you have a good idea of what it looks like. The pickup information is autofilled with their information, but if they have a new pickup location or are placing an order for a third party, they can do that as well. For the delivery address and information, if they have delivered to this location before, the information is stored in their address book and should autofill when they start to type in the company’s name. This way, order placement should get faster and easier the more your customers use the system! After they have the addresses filled in, they are able to select the package type, the service type, the vehicle type, as well as the number of pieces and the total weight of their order. The package type, service type, and vehicle type options only include whatever custom options you have created on your side of the system, so you can provide the list of everything they can use. Your customers can also set a ready time and special instructions, if they have any. Finally, if you provide them the option, they can click a button to check the price of this delivery, and when they have reviewed and confirmed everything, can submit the order, which will pop up in the dispatch panel for you and your team to manage from there!

Order History

On top of being able to place orders online, your customers also have access to detailed information of both their current and previous orders. By navigating to the order history tab, your customers can see a list of all their orders, including the date, time, waybill number, and pick up and delivery locations. If they need more information about a specific order, they can click the waybill number and open up a detailed report about any order. This will provide more information about the delivery locations, as well as show all the information about package type, service type, weight, and price of the order. This order history section also includes orders placed manually by your team that relate to this customer, so however they place their orders, they will be able to find the information about them here.
