The first step to remote dispatching is actually setting up the ability to do so! With the online courier system, the main order panel that you are used to using needs to be online in order to be able to remote dispatch out to other computers, or else there would be nothing to remotely connect to! As long as that order panel stays on, however, you can connect as many remote panels as you need! Once you have the remote panels installed, you will be able to use them as long as the main panel is on, enabling your whole team to have a panel on their computer, without needing to crowd around your desk the whole time, or getting you access to dispatching in your home office. Remote Driver Dispatch

In addition to being able to operate multiple order panels for you and your team, there is also the ability to designate a driver as a remote dispatcher to dispatch new orders via their email, outside of the order panel and mobile apps. With this, new orders will come into this email automatically, and those can then be forwarded to other drivers to carry out deliveries. Orders dispatched in this way won’t automatically be updated in the main order panel and will still need to be marked as dispatched and delivered, but this other remote dispatch feature can help in a pinch, and gives you another method of getting orders out if for some reason you cannot access the main panel for long.

Remote Dispatching Security

Obviously, keeping all your work to just one main order panel might seem safer than giving full access to other members of your team, especially if it is used away from the office. Security and stability are key components in our digital courier software, and remote dispatching is no different. Every remote order panel has full access to order entry and dispatching, but is not able to utilize the invoices or settings sections. For doing anything that is more sensitive than the normal daily operations of your courier business, the main order panel will have to be used. This way, you won’t have to worry about big changes being made at home or by another member of your team.
