With scheduled deliveries, that can account both for people not worried about getting their delivery right away, or for people who need to get it at a specific time and date, even if it’s not that day. Why Scheduled Deliveries?
Scheduled deliveries are great choices for a lot of different reasons, and for a lot of different customers. For one, it can be helpful to customers who aren’t concerned with getting their order right away, and can place the order on a day or time that will be convenient for them and less busy for your team, especially if there are surcharges in place for busy delivery days and times. Setting Up Scheduled Deliveries

This can be for a long time in advance, and for any time or day, so make sure that it is within the scope of your drivers! Through either method, once the order is placed, it will pop up in the order history of the customer (for the day it is scheduled to be delivered!), but will not show up under your current orders until the selected date and time unless you toggle on a future orders view. This way, your system isn’t cluttered with orders set months in advance, and your team can respond to a scheduled order as if it was just placed!
Recurring Orders
In addition to placing orders manually and setting them to be scheduled for a different time, there is also the option through online courier software to schedule recurring orders that need to be set up manually once, and will then pop up when they are scheduled to! This is great if a customer always sends out a shipment to the same place at the same time every week. Rather than scheduling a lot of those orders in advance, or remembering to do it at the right time every week, you can set up a recurring order on your side to automatically bring that up! With recurring orders, they can be set to occur daily, weekly, or monthly, and can be set for either a specific date or on specific days of the week. For consistent orders, recurring entries take the stress out of constantly setting them up!
